OMNITRACKER version 13.0.0 has now been officially released and is available for download. The highlights of this version are the introduction of a configurable dashboard function for the Web Gateway and the new GenericAPI interface option, which is based on the established GraphQL standard. A range of new security features complements the release of the latest OMNITRACKER version.

In addition, a number of minor changes have been implemented and defects have been fixed. As usual, you can find details about the release of the new version in the release notes in our OMNINET customer portal.

Highlights in the dashboard category

  • Administrators (and end users in subsequent versions) can now define any dashboards in the Web Gateway and make them available to users or user groups.
  • A variety of new widgets are provided to individually configure these dashboards based on the respective OMNITRACKER data model and place them on dashboards.
  • In addition to typical visualizations such as bar charts, line charts, and scorecards, specific widgets are also available that enable the display of OMNITRACKER object lists, BPMN process instances, or more complex matrices and heat maps on dashboards.
  • Thanks to a flexible text widget, activatable links, and drill-down options, the dashboards can also be defined as separate start pages after login (landing pages) and offer users a global overview and jump points into the entire system.

Highlights in the GenericAPI category

  • The existing interfaces are being extended with an additional option based on the GraphQL standard, making the integration of third-party applications into OMNITRACKER even more flexible and faster to implement.
  • The GenericAPI is a configurable API for accessing OMNITRACKER objects via HTTP(S). The API supports the following operations and functions as standard: creation, modification, and deletion of objects; filtering; paging; and documentation for external users via a downloadable schema.
  • Authentication is performed using the JWT method (and HTTP Basic Auth) or via anonymous access.
  • OMNITRACKER data can be shared on a folder basis. API profiles are defined in the folder configuration. Fields can be shared as read-only or readable/writable.
  • In subsequent versions, it is planned to expand the GenericAPI with further integration levels. This includes retrieving, starting and executing tasks via the OMNITRACKER BPMN Engine as well as reading and modifying OMNITRACKER schema objects (control in the Admin Client).
